As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Blessed for the Support... Wednesday, July 14

After pushing myself to exhaustion at boxing... which I totally have no regret over because I absolutely love, love, LOVE my boxing training... I then had to rush home, hurry shower and eat, and then run out to my business meeting.

Showed up NOT in training clothes but with my bright green Adidas flip flops on... oops.

Haste makes waste.

Delivered my business pitch for critique and then had the awesome opportunity to pick the brain of a very successful female entrepreneur who has become a friend.  She's been in Europe for the past several weeks but now she's back so I jumped all over setting up today's meeting.  Originally, she was the one who I had asked about what to do with my business -- start it in Canada or here in the Philippines.  Her answer was "what makes you more uncomfortable... where do you think you can have the biggest impact?"  I think she knew back then what I now know -- my place is here in the Philippines.

Our meeting lasted just short of three hours and left me with a lot of great food for thought.
