As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Beating the Heat and the Holiday

It felt exceptionally hot today, the temperature was high and there was no wind.
It made it extra hard for boxing and I'm pretty sure I sweated out half my body weight in water.
Fighting the high temps during boxing was one thing but then fighting the hangry-pains as I searched out my post training meal was also rough.  With it being a holiday, most places here in Makati are closed.
Thank you to the Pancake House, for being one of the few places open!
I snapped this picture as I headed out to Cash & Carry.  I love this time of day, when the sun is slowing coming down and evening is settling in.  The skies here are just as pretty as the ones in Canada.
Flyers printed and small hand weights picked up... thanks to Balboa for being my model here.
Today's challenge... challenge accepted and challenge conquered.
