As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Comfort Food and Business Talks

Was treated to a special breakfast out and today we checked out a new place I had seen on Instagram.
It advertised "free coffee with any breakfast item".  All I saw was "free coffee" and I was sold.
It had been a rough start to my day so the chef bringing out my breakfast
out to me with my eggs in the shape of hearts was super sweet.
Visited the place I'm in love with today but the writing is on the wall, literally.  Maybe the former tenant will be back.  With the yo-yoing of the rent price, it's no wonder no one has taken this place yet.
But I sooooooo love this place.  It's such a weird space for anything but what I want to do with it.
Attended a business event tonight at a very cool co-op space here in Makati.
I was definitely more interested in the space itself than the actual event.  And the thing that stopped me from giving it a major thumbs down was a young man who worked at the co-op space and a brief conversation we had together as I tried to skip out on the event early.
