As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Feeling like a Mute... Wednesday, February 28

If Tuesdays are the high of my week than Wednesdays are my low.

Wednesdays are definitely the most mentally challenging for me because of Tuesday.  Boxing in Makati with Coach Bogs, all my friends there at Elite, seeing the staff at my former condo, running into business owners at the neighbouring area, and then coaching a packed Empowered class.

I come home exhausted on Tuesday but also so pumped and totally motivated to keep the momentum going.  Then I wake up on Wednesday and blah... silence.

I didn't have any business meetings today, just boxing.  Well, boxing and, of course, more work on Empowered.  Today I worked on the class schedule for Empowered and set up some meetings.  Tomorrow I'll be meeting up with my architect and heading over to the potential site for Empowered to discuss things with the property manager.

At 2pm I totally passed right out.

At 2:20pm I was awaken by a text message.... "Want to grab a coffee?", Skittles asked.

You don't have to ask me twice.  By 2:40pm I was dressed and out the door with Balboa.

The rest of the day was pretty quite and then I went to boxing.

No real familiar faces at boxing, except Coach Arnold.  None of my friends were there which only stressed just how quiet my life on days like this can really get.  All but a few of my conversations today were via text messages either on the computer or my phone.

The struggle on Wednesday... it's real... real quiet, damn.
