As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Feeling Blessed... Monday, June 4

Off to Makati for a morning meeting at the Gaming and Amusement Board with the boxing officials and the promotor for the upcoming fight.  I arrived on time, a bit early actually, and was escorted right in to discuss things with the boxing officials.

Today's meeting -- switching my Korean boxing license to a Philippine license and medicals needed for my upcoming fight.

With the fight about 3 weeks away, time is super tight.

The meeting went well, very well actually, and they really did all they could to help me.

Now, for my boxing license switch over, I have to get a copy of my passport notorized and then apply for a temporary work visa at immigration.  And for the fight, I need to get a drug test, Hepa-B, chest x-ray, ECG, and a CT Scan of my head.  I already have a doctor I can go to that can help me out with all that, so I'm good for that.

After my meeting, I had to rush to Team Insider for my first official pre-fight weigh-in.

Dare I tell you just how much weight I have to lose for this fight... oh gosh.

Weighed in and then off to a business meeting.

Today I may have met one of the most supportive and encouraging entrepreneurs in the Philippines.  He owns a hostal in Poblacion and met with me to talk about a collaboration between his business and my business -- LoKal Hostal and Empowered Clubhouse.  What I initially came to talk to him about and what I left having talked to him was well beyond what I expected but it was so very encouraging.  Come July, I'll be launching a BoxHIIT Sweat Sesh weekly class on his rooftop patio.  I'm totally stocked about that.

Meeting then boxing.

Boxing, then working on Empowered.

Working on Empowered and then weight training in my condo gym.

And, as if I hadn't totally packed enough into the day, after weights I then went and hung out on High Street for a bit before coming home and totally crashing.  It had been a packed day but a blessed day... wow!
