As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Sprinting Forward... Saturday, August 25

Yesterday marked another yearly anniversary of my mother's passing so I called my father today.

I called to talk to him about it and to tell him I wasn't coming "home" for Christmas.  He talked about how much he missed me and how he wished I lived close to the family.  I didn't have the heart to tell him I wouldn't be visiting.  I did tell him about my awesome news for my Lil' Sistas Project.

Today I was approached about another donation for the Project.  A very hefty donation.  This donation alone would cover the costs of all 26 pairs of boxing gloves for the Lil' Sistas.  Just this week I have been approached about two donations and in the past couple of weeks I've been approached by other companies regarding sponsoring and helping with my Lil' Sistas Project.

I predicted that this would get big but the donations are pushing it to get huge.

Huge is awesome but huge means a lot of responsibility too.

Huge means I really can propel this forward.

Exciting?  Yes.

Overwhelmed?  Yes... but bring it on!!!
