As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thursday, August 2

Today was suppose to be my "day off" which only ended up meaning not only did I workout twice but I also did an overdose of computer work.

But I did it in my underwear.  So I guess it was just a day off people and clothes.

I have a lot I'm working on with Empowered -- the Slay gear, setting up training for those competing in the Spartan Sprint, designing the Slay clothing, working on the Lil' Sista glove design, getting two more ladies to commit to our rowing team, and soon I'll have to work on the transportation stuff and any extra things like sponsor stuff and race admin stuff with regards to the running event that's less than a few weeks away now.

I'm also working on taking Empowered to Phase Two -- setting up a temporary location.

This Saturday I'll be visiting several possible locations so I'm excited about that.

Taking a day off, yeah, it's just not going to happen.  I feel like I have so much on the go, I have a relatively good handle on it all, and if I take a break it will just completely snowball and I won't be able to catch up and stop it.  Right now, it's controlled.  It's a bit overwhelming but it's controlled.  Honestly I don't know what I'd do on a day off anyways.  I'd probably lay around the house with Balboa and just think about my business and boxing.
