As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A New Direction... Thursday, September 6

I was set up to have an early morning client, breakfast out, another client and then a couple of meetings, but then it all changed.  Clients had to change plans, one meeting got rescheduled and another one I ended up canceling, so then it was just breakfast out.  I then had a full day of emptiness to fill and I had already prepared it in my head to spend it working on Empowered on the computer -- catching up with emails, researching more possible spaces, discussing my next order with my suppliers, and cleaning all my boxing and training gear.

At an impromptu meeting with one of my suppliers here in BGC, a printing crew that has started to do a little sewing work for me, I threw them a proposal, just to see if they'd even consider it.

They totally considered it.  In fact, they totally agreed to it!!!

I was pleasantly shocked.

Looks like I may have very well solved the problem of going back and forth with another supplier of mine though I must admit I think she's awesome.  The work she's getting down for me from another supplier though, her being the middle woman here, is good but I think this crew that I've been working with may be better than good.  They might just very well be flat out awesome.  So far, to date, the crew that I discussed with tonight, all the work I've ever given has been better than expected.
