As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Client Funnies... Friday, September 7

Showed up for a client's surprise birthday party and watched as she strategically deal with the whole cake situation.  She cut it, handed out pieces to everyone and then enjoyed a piece for herself.  And then she cut a smaller piece and ate that too.  Then, because clearly the cake was super delish and she wanted more, she looked around to see if anyone was watching first and then she ate the remaining cake off of the cake delish.  I commented on it and instantly she knew she had been caught.  It was so funny.

"Don't worry", I told her.  "Calories don't exist on your birthday."

I had totally saw what she did, it was pretty sneaky, but it was also super funny.

After the birthday party, I went home to plan for tomorrow's client consultation.

I was meeting a new client at 6.

Turns out 6 was 6am, not 6pm as I had originally anticipated.  It was after midnight and I then suddenly had to be up in 5 hours plus have all my stuff ready for my consultation.  Oh gosh.  It made for a late night and I knew it'd make for an even earlier that anticipated and rough morning.
