As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Am Ready for 2019... Saturday, December 28

I honestly spent about 3 hours searching out a new agenda for 2019.

Seriously.

It all started because of an order I made online over two weeks ago, on Lazada, for an agenda.  Just the other day it was most randomly cancelled.  I think the seller ran out of stock, I don't know.  What I did know though was I was suddenly out of an agenda to start the new year with.  So today I went in search of a new one and my search got rather ridiculous.  I went to 4 places, 3 of which were large malls where I ventured into numerous shops.  I even went so far as to take a Grab to one place, reach out to friends on Facebook who then offered to buy me one in Korea, and then I even had someone join me on my search.

It got THAT ridiculous.

But I got a new agenda.  Mission accomplished.

I'm so damn eager to start 2019.  I'm so done with 2018 actually.

2018 didn't go as planned which is both a good thing and bad thing.  In 2018 I parted with my former business partner and wasn't able to launch my private boxing studio in time before the year ended, but I also launched the Lil' Sistas Project and got my Filipino boxing license.  I've been trying for two years to get my Filipino license and, as for the Lil' Sistas Project, that was something totally unanticipated and unplanned, but something I more or less fell into and just had to do.  In 2018, I also unexpectedly adopted another four-legged baby, Cassius, and changed boxing clubs.

But 2019,... I've got big plans for it.

This is going to be my year, "The Year of the Empowered".

I'm just putting it out there into the universe for you to know but, mark my words, it will become a reality.  Just you wait and watch.  This time next year, I'll be telling you "I told you so."
