Games, snacks, giggles and fun... we had an abundance of all that today at the
BIG Lil' Sista Christmas party and it was awesome.
Our "calmest" of games -- Who's Santa. A game where the person in the middle, "Rudolph", had to figure out who was the secret Santa that was winking at everyone, making them go "ho, ho, ho".
This is a Filipino game I learnt last year -- the Paper Dance.
In small teams of three, teams had to dance around their newspaper and then, when the music stopped, keep all their members on the paper. Easier said then done when you consider the paper gets folded in half with each round! These girls got so creative with their teams and while some kept it simple and simply focused on balance, others put members on their shoulders and stood on each others' feet.
Then there was the much-anticipated gift-giving event, where we handed out all the gifts that the Big Sistas had donated for the Lil' Sistas.
Handing out the gifts to them was so good. I was so eager to see their reactions.
All the Lil' Sistas loved their gifts and some gave quite elaborate and exaggerated reactions. I felt so proud to see them so happy. They really deserve so much more but it
was great to see how happy they were.
was great to see how happy they were.
All the beautiful Lil' Sistas at our party today, all sporting smile... gorgeous, happy smiles.
