As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

I Said YES... Monday, January 7

My newest gadget is an Amazfit.  It's similar to the popular FitBit but has different features.

I'm kind of addicted to it already.

I'm not into the step count or monitoring my caloric burn, but I like it for the timer, stopwatch and the fact that it monitors my sleep.  Most days it takes me forever to sleep and so I've been trying to change my sleeping patterns and routine leading up to going to bed.

I saw the Amazfit the other day and for the past couple of days I've been doing my research on them.  At the store where I saw it though, they didn't have any in stock.  They asked me if I wanted to leave my name, in case more came in, but then one came in.  Honestly, I think they ordered it because I put my name.  I wasn't really planning on buying it, I just wanted to see it, but then today a certain someone surprised me with it.

Now I have an Amazfit.

So while most girls want a diamond ring, this girl wants a sports gadget.

Today, I said yes to the sports watch.
