As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Busy, Busy, BUSY,... Tuesday, February 26

The days are running into days.  I'm busy like mad and trying to keep up with updating my homepage.  Sorry.  Sorry I'm not sorry but busy is good, or at least I think it is.

Am working out like a beast -- pushing myself to the max with boxing, rugby and weights.
Am building my business like a boss babe -- working 7 days a week, with early mornings and late nights.

I can't believe it's almost the 3rd month of the year.

That gives me anxiety.

Am I on par with where I should be regarding my New Year's Resolutions and where my business and I had anticipated to be?!

Yes and no.

I'm on par with my resolutions but not with where I thought my business would be.

It's taken on a new direction.

I'm looking for a house now for my business.  It'll be literally a clubhouse like my company's name has labelled to be -- Empowered Clubhouse.  With a yard for BBQs and lounging, a kitchen for cooking up treats, a driveway/garage for my clients, and of course the full first floor for our training area.  The idea behind it will be that it'll be a private clubhouse, members only, so if clients don't have a personal training session booked but want to come train then they have the ability to do so.  I now have 10 clients so if my clubhouse were to be up and running right now, it'd be a private clubhouse for only 10 clients.  Super exclusive.

The idea of building a full scale running boxing club with regular hours and regular staff no longer interests me.  I've attracted a different clientele, one that likes exclusiveness and the feeling of being taken up because they're elite.  My company now caters to them.  They're very good to me, I like them a lot, so when my facility opens up, it will definitely be reflective and up to par with who my clientele is.
