I didn't get to bed till a little after 3am so waking up at 6:30am for coaching was one thing but heading into rugby at 10am for a two hour training session was a no go. There was a team from Japan visiting and they wanted to combine all the Mavericks team for a good sweat sesh of playing together. I was way too exhausted to join them so after coaching I took the day nice and easy.
I worked from home... but not before being treated out to a delish breakfast out.
So today I didn't go to rugby, I didn't have boxing and I didn't go to functional training.
Today I had an actual FULL DAY off of any and ALL training... wow. I can't remember the last time I actually had a day where I didn't work up a sweat with my own training so it was a bit weird.
I spent a big chunk of my day working on Empowered.
-- finalizing my next order from Pakistan.
-- working on creating new forms for my personal training.
-- planning this week's training sessions for my clients.
-- working on my Snail Mail Program for the Lil' Sistas.
-- setting up medical help (visiting doctor) for the Lil' Sistas at the Center of Hope.
-- brainstorming potential sponsors for the Lil' Sistas' Snail Mail Program.
I recently got the go-ahead for a penpal progam I wanted to launch for the Lil' Sistas in Antipolo. I wasn't surprised that those involved gave it the go-ahead but I was really surprised at just how many of them really want to participate and how much excitement they have regarding it. It was suppose to just be a complimentary, extra curriculum activity for those of the Lil' Sistas in Antipolo who want to participate, those who want to and can to, but now it's been suggested for ALL the Lil' Sistas in Antipolo to participate. The staff there has suggested they act as translators for the girls... wow... honestly, that is BEYOND unexpected and BEYOND amazing but I really don't want them to have extra work to do because of me. I tell you, the staff at the Center of Hope have nothing but the biggest hearts ever and I totally commend them on just how generous they are with supporting me and all the girls there. I've never felt so supported like I am with them. They are an amazing crew and their awesome positively definitely fuels my passion with continuing to help out their girls, the Lil' Sistas.
Now the question is, how do I go about running the Snail Mail Program? It's one of those things that I thought was a great idea (and still definitely do) but the execution of it, well, I'm not entirely sure on how to go about it. It's still a rough draft in the works but I'm optimistic about it. I will make it great for them, am just not sure exactly on how to do that just yet... just you wait though. This is going to be epic!
