As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

And the Winner is... Thursday, March 14

I think we MAY have a winner... a 3 story house with 2 balconies, a top floor that definitely sports the badass clubhouse vibe, AND it's totally in my budget... sweet!!!

That was my status update on Facebook, after I had gone today to see two more possible locations for Empowered Clubhouse out in Taguig.  I like the place, I really do, but I don't know if I really love it or I'm just being too picky.  Location wise, yes, there's a possibility that most of my clients will go there or that I'll attract more within the area.  But in terms of more specific points of the location, I wish it were in the area across the street that has a bigger community and more facilities at it's doorsteps.  This particular house is in a very small community and while I would be allowed to walk across the street and use the pool and grounds of another community, my clients would not be allowed to unless I escorted them.

Cancel out jogs around the block for warmup; this particular block is just a rectangle.

I call today's house the Attic House.

The perfect clubhouse would have the front look and massive lot of the Yellow House, the master bedroom, rooftop patio and location of the House of Stairs, but the price tag and third floor of the Attic House.

What it wouldn't have though is the rough location of the Yellow House, the lack of upkeep and the suicidal stairs of the House of Stairs, and the....

...hmmm... I can't really think of anything I don't really like of the Attic House.

There is nothing about the Attic House that I would totally rule out.

Interesting.

If I were to pick today, I'd pick the Attic House.

I talked to the man managing the property and he's well aware of my intentions with the house and is perfectly cool with it as long as it is a legit, legal business, which it totally is.
