As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

A Correlation, Perhaps... Friday, April 19

It's Holy Week and yesterday started the four day weekend.  I promised Skittles I wouldn't do work but we all know that's a lie.  I did however promise that I'd "relax" and hang out poolside, and that's exactly what I did today.

Poolside for a couple of hours.

I couldn't really work even if I wanted to though.  Most of the businesses I do business with are closed, workers aren't replying to any business related email, call or text.  So I was limited to only doing business with those suppliers and businesses I deal with outside of the Philippines border and any freelance/entrepreneur.

I've come to the conclusion that holidays are for those who hate their job or need some kind of break from their job.   So ya, basically anyone not happy with their employment.  Maybe that's mean of me to say, maybe it's the honest truth.  So ask yourself,  if you love holidays, do you also love your job?
