As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Still Working Hard... Thursday, April 18

This is what I look like on a holiday as a pro athlete, boxing coach and small business owner.

Nothing extra special, right?!
Nothing different, right?! Exactly.

My hustle and grind doesn't stop for the holidays.

Now I'm not hating on the holidays but I'm also not participating in them either. And if you're one of the 11 fighters I coach who is NOT out of the country for Holy Week, you know I've been buzzing up your phone, calling you out to train. Trained a fighter this morning actually, right before she raced off to catch her flight. Now that's dedication!!!

Happy Holy Week for those celebrating it. Happy Holy-Crap-that's-Intense Week for those of you "stuck" training with me.
