As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Busy On Overdrive... Friday, May 31

At the Center of Hope today they were filming a human documentary on one of the girls so I was asked the other week if I could come today.  Of course I'd come.  Switched my schedule around and headed out there early in the morning.  The plan was I'd host a class for the Lil' Sistas in the Snail Mail Program and then I'd coach them in a Lil' Pow boxing class.  So that's exactly what my morning consisted of.

Snail Mail Program class
Lil' Pow Boxing class
Meeting regarding hiring a Lil' Sista

I put it out there, I officially put it out there.  I presented my job posting to the Center of Hope for my Clubhouse Assistant and handed them the print out of it to discuss it more.  Honestly, I really do need an assistant, not only with helping me run the clubhouse but because I'm juggling so much with it all.

Best case scenerio, I hire someone by next month.

One problem, I really need to come up with the extra cash now needed to renovate one of the back rooms for whomever I hire.

On a positive note, lots of positive notes going down today actually, I have almost met my max with the number of new clients I'll agree to.  Super excited about that.  Next week is going to be a huge week with it not only being the soft opening of Empowered but with all these new fighters joining me for boxing.

Ever since I posted my soft opening promo ad, my phone has been going completely bonkers.

I was approached today regarding sharing my story on ABS-CSN.

Finally around 10pm I agreed to stop working and go enjoy my weekly cheat meal.  My weekly cheat meal consists of wings and French fries at THE BEST wing shop I've ever gone to, seriously.  I should note that ever since my visit to my friend's chicken farm when I was like 12 years old, maybe 10, I haven't eaten a chicken wing.  But now I do.  That's just how good the wings here at Wingman in Acacia Estates are.  Sweet Canadian dude that runs the shop and, as it turns out, we have some common friends, very cool.  Saw him tonight at his restaurant and then ran into a fellow female fighter friend of mine, super cool.  I met her originally at Team Insider but now she's one of my neighbours, small world.  Plan is to get her into my clubhouse this week and do some promo shots with her or at least fire off a ton of content for Empowered.
