The other day I received a special delivery from a particular influencer, a fellow coach that I follow on Instagram. We chat a lot online but haven't actually met. We've decided to do a collab soon with her coming out to the Empowered Clubhouse and me putting her through a 1-to-1 boxing workout but till them I'm working on getting Empowered renovated and equipment in. This particular coach is sponsored by Under Armour so she sent me one of their outfits from their newest line -- Rush. I thought the outfit was for when we do our collab together but last night she said it was okay for me to wear it before hand because Under Armour wanted my honest opinion of it. So I agreed to wear it today.
Only one problem... I don't usually wear just a sports bra and leggings. I'm way too shy, too conservative and have way too many Lil' Sistas looking up to me to wear that.
To wear it or not to wear it, that was the big question of the day.
For morning coaching, I wore a t-shirt over top of it and then, once I got to boxing, I asked my fellow female fighters for their opinion on the situation.
Do I wear only the sports bra/top to please the sponsors, at the cost of me being uncomfortable?
Do I wear a t-shirt over it and risk losing any potential sponsorship opportunities and collabs?
I decided to just wear it.
It had a high collar and wasn't the bit in revealing except for the mid section which really wasn't much considering the leggings were high waisted. My line is when my actual breasts are showing. I'm a no-cleavage kind of girl partly because I don't think it's appropriate for me to be boxing so exposed, partly because I question the actual support and don't care for the distraction of wondering if my breasts are going to fall out, and also partly because my chest has always been my biggest insecurity.
I used to be a 34DD, now I'm a 32B, but I'm still that "big chesty girl" in my head.
As for what I actually thought of the Rush sports bra/top and the Rush leggings. I didn't care too much for the sports bra/top. It was padded, the cut on the arm holes was off and it retained my sweat. But the leggings.
...ohhhhh the Rush leggings!!!
Love, love, LOVE them. They really breathed so nicely, to the point where even after working up such a sweat during sparring, they dried right up after stepping out of the ring. This meant I didn't smell like I had just killed it at sparring. And the movement of these leggings, wow. Next level, seriously. Where I placed them on my body when I first put them on was exactly where they stayed. They didn't ride up, bunch up, twist or start to sag at all. I would definitely recommend the leggings.
