As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Big Things Happening... Wednesday, June 5

I had 11 fighters I was coaching, but then I dropped over 70% of them because of having to change my schedule and launching my own private studio.  It was something many people questioned why I was doing -- dropping almost all my fighters when I didn't have any new fighters lined up.  But I did it, I maxed out my fighter line up.  Honestly, I didn't expect to do it so soon but I did it.  I did it before the second day of soft opening.

I currently now coach 10 fighters 1-to-1, coach a small team of 5 fighters together and am potentially taking on an additional small team of 2-3 fighters.  That's 15 confirmed fighters with a possible 3 more joining my team of Empowered women.

I'm absolutely loving the fact that I coach almost all my clients at home.  It means no more struggling to get an Angkas and carrying all my gear in my bag.  I will say this though, it is nice to get out to those three fighters I've held on to, out of the Acacia area, because I can see myself getting a bit stir crazy always being home and a change of scenery is always nice.  It's also super quite back at the clubhouse.  I mean, it's just me and "the kids" -- Balboa, Cassius and Rousey -- and they sleep most of the time.

Big things happening with me and with Empowered, with the biggest thing being ABS-CBN catching wind about me and contacting me.  They're very much interested in doing a possible story on me, Empowered and the Lil' Sistas.  Very cool.  Am super excited about that because I think it'll help bring more attention to the issue of human trafficking.  People need to understand that this is a bigger problem than they know it and that these girls being included in it are just your average girls next door.  More importantly though, people need to realize that we ALL are blessed in some way and we ALL have the capability to help someone else in need.  That's really what I'm trying to do, pay it forward and make my existance impactful.  I don't want to just live for the sake of living.  I'm trying to make a difference.  Those girls, the Lil' Sistas, they've already made a difference in me.  I want to do the same to them and to others.
