As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Coming Into Its Own... Friday, June 8

Mirrors have arrived.  I'm convinced they came today when I was out boxing because it was in the crew's best interest.  I was beyond pissed with the whole delivery mix-up.  My renos crew, awesome, the mirror company, irresponsible, totally.

It is confirmed.

ABS CBN are coming to Empowered on Sunday for filming and they're bringing a celebrity.  Very cool.  I'm not one for the spotlight but I am thankful to be considered "interesting content" for one of their shows.  Now to use this to highlight the Lil' Sistas Project and fast forward things with that.

Honestly, I feel like all my hard effort and continual stubborness with continuing on with my passion, my vision, is finally coming to light and is paying off.  This time last year I was probably filled with anxiety and having one of my many "embrace the suck" moments where it seemed like all my hard efforts were just going to waste.

Look at me now, right... right?!

"Easy there, tiger", I tell myself, now to keep the ball rolling and make this not only first and only female boxing clubhouse but something that's unquestionably epic.
