As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thank You... Saturday, June 1

In opening the physical location for Empowered I knew I'd be taking 2 steps back to take that 1 step forward. It was very quick to feel more like 3 steps back for that 1 because of the crazy expenses, time and effort in not only building it but it the fact that it also meant I had to step away from coaching 2/3 my clients.

But a step forward is a step forward.

I am extremely happy to note that next week Empowered Clubhouse will be opening it's doors for a soft opening with a FULL list of clients and even a women-only running team. I look forward to meeting each and every one of my new fighters and scratching their itch for learning boxing and becoming more empowered. Thank you to everyone who has supported me in this crazy, badass adventure.

P.S. I'm still not joking about my plant comment. If you visit you DO have to bring a plant.
