As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Enterprenuer Life... Sunday, July 7

Today's Schedule;
7am     Coach Fighter "A"
10am   Rugby practice
2pm    Coach Fighter "C"
4pm    Church
7pm    Coach Fighter "K"
8pm    Coach Fighter "R"

I was up by 6am and in bed around 1am.  I had coached 4 fighters, got in 2 hours of rugby, but had missed church so I caught up on admin work for Empowered.

Next weekend I'll be going to Cebu for a big rugby tournament and as much as I know I'll enjoy it once I'm there, I'm already feeling so much anxiety regarding taking such a break from work.  I doubt I'll not work though even when I'm there.  I'll be there for rugby but I'm sure there will be down time when I'll be able to get in some business emails and deal with social media posts for Empowered.  The following week I have two Lil' Sistas boxing classes and I'm wanting to set up some interviews for a few potential volunteers who have applied.  I need to set those meetings up.  I'm also launching a giveaway package so the plan is to launch that right before I head out Friday morning.  Of course I'll have to follow up with reminders on the weekend and then follow through with picking the winner.  Am leaning towards running it the entire weekend and then concluding it Monday late afternoon or early evening.

Work, work, work,... I know.

I don't have the luxury of having an assistant or even so much as a volunteer or helper at the clubhouse.  Every day I feel myself working hard but hard is the new norm for me and to take any break and slow down a bit at this point, well, I fear it will just all snowball on top of me.

Have to keep it up.

Life of an entrepreneur 101.
