As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Fight Camp in the Works... Thursday, July 4

Elorde is hosting a big amateur boxing event and I have an idea.

They want a fight so I'm going to bring them a fight.  I'm going to bring them Empowered.

The idea is to sponsor a fighter to represent Empowered.  I haven't finalized the details yet but the plan is to put them through an intense four week fight camp leading up to the fight, to best prep them.  The perk for them is that they'll be better "prepared for war" and that I'm leaning towards making it a free fight camp.

Limited spaces, of course.

I only want 2 or 3 fighters, female fighters.  Also, of course.

I have a Filipina friend from Canada visiting and she'll be staying here at Empowered for a few days, which makes for a perfect opportunity to pick her brain about it and get her also involved, if she can.

Details to be posted when I confirm them.  Right now I'm trying to see about mapping out a game plan for this and that includes approaching potential sponsors to help out with everything, like their fight uniform, nutrition and supplements.
