As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Peace at Last... Saturday, September 28

My body has officially hit the wall, or so it felt like.  I had running in the morning with the Acacia Sole Sistas team run and then that was basically it.

No weight training.
No boxing.
No sparring.
No rugby.
No swimming.

Nothing physical beyond just physically staying alive.

After the run, I stayed up long enough to get in another meal and then curl back up in bed with Balboa, turn over, and lights out.  For the next 4 hours I was dead to the world, pretty much.  I can't remember the last time I had a chunk of day off like this or no training.  It's been my first day off training in months.  Mind you, I did get in a run and some sprints but it was just a 5km run and that's really nothing for me consider the level of training I do on the daily.

I stayed as close to dead all day with the exception of my appointment with my physical therapist that came to Empowered to deal with my shoulder and help me with my recovery of it.
