As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Challenge Posed... Monday, October 14

Almost forgot to spill the beans... I'm in a body fat competition.

Skittles vs me.

Who's going to win?!

Skittles may be a dude that has the advantage of slacking lately on his training and diet but I'm the master manipulator of my body.  I dropped 19lbs in less than 2 weeks for my last boxing fight, remember that?!  Exactly.  All I have to do is really clean up my eating, no random snackies, and I have to be more consistent with getting in my weight training and not overdoing it with my cardio (boxing and rugby).  I also have to work to get in more sleep.  Averaging only five hours a night isn't good at all.  I know that, I just haven't done anything about it.

As for this competition though, how it came about, well, yesterday we were talking about visiting Canada in December and he noted that he wanted to trim up for the trip.  I took it a step further and teased him, saying that I'd believe it when I see it and then I challenged him.  The challenge is to see who can drop the most body weight before December 21st.  It will be based on starting and finishing percentage -- the percentage of the percentage, if that makes sense.

Today was Day One.

May the most focused [wo]man win!
