As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Is it "The Dress"?!... Wednesday, November 6

I post it into the universe that I need a glamorous long dress for this weekend's family wedding and the response I've been getting has been crazy awesome.  I've had two handfuls of people reach out to me and numerous dress pics sent to me.  Today one of my fighters sent over this gorgeous red dress.

Shall I be lady in red for the wedding?!

"Depends, what is the theme of the wedding?" someone asked me.

Theme?! That's a thing?

All I know is that I went to the groom's wedding two years ago and it was absolutely the most beautiful wedding I have ever been to in my life.  It was so elegant and so over the top fantastic; a total feast for the eyes and envy of every girl!!!  Both she, the sister, and this weekend's groom are Skittles' cousins and they live a life of pure luxury and no expense held back.

Tonight I had to pick up dresses from one neighbour and return others to another neighbour.

I had posted on our community Facebook page my need for help in the dress department and the response was super cool and ultra sweet.  Apparently everyone and their husband wants to find me "the dress" and as awesome as that is, I think many of them failed to realize what kind of body I have.

I have an athletic body -- "it's like a chopstick but with shoulders".

I definitely have a boxer's body -- all my curves are in my muscles and not my hips or whatnot.

I have "the body of a 12 year old Chinese boy", as one of my homepage commenters always claims.

It was a bit upsetting, to tell you the truth, trying on all these amazingly gorgeous dresses and feeling like a little kid playing dress up in their mom's closet.  Most of the dresses didn't actually look good on me.  My body is small but it's very straight and my waist is thick.  I did narrow it down to three dresses and then to two.  I'm comfortable wearing a snug dress that is tight but many of the wedding dresses leant to me are super flouncy and I'm definitely not used to that at all.  I love a body hugging dress.  I mean, if I'm going to bust my butt off working on my body as an athlete, then I may as well enjoy the perks of all my hard work, with having a toned, strong body being one of them.

So as for if I'll wear the red dress, I'm not totally convinced just yet.

Tomorrow more dresses are coming.  The search continues.
