As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

And the Winner Is... Friday, January 10

I was told yesterday by one of the young male students who did a human documentary on me, that the documentary he and his fellow mates submitted had won.  It had won several prizes actually.

Today they sent me the final copy of the documentary for me to watch.

It's amazing what young kids can do nowadays.  They have access to so many different resources and so many platforms to express themselves and expand upon it.  Just the other day I had touched bases on the fact that social media was becoming too much of a thing for one of my much loved nieces but today I felt the polar opposite.

I can't yet share the final documentary but when I'm able to, of course, I will.
