2. Today was my big day at school, 3 classes back-to-back, which wasn't so bad today considering classes ran for about 30 minutes each. Mind you next week it'll mean six straight hours of teaching with just enough time to scoot to the next classroom.
3. My last class of the day was loaded with many students from my last semester Tuesday class that I completely adored so walking into that class today and seeing so many memorable students hit a soft spot with me.
4. Q wants me to attend this popular musical that's playing in Cheonan this Sunday. It stars an ugly dude who dresses up and acts like an even uglier woman. Now I ask you, what's so funny about that?! Like I want to spend my Sunday afternoon watching some wanna-be transvestite. How come people think it's so funny when a guy dresses up as a women but not the other way around? I mean, us girls could pencil on some facial stubble or slap on some fake facial hair and shove a sock ball in our pants and I think it'd be hilarious.
5. I'll be the first to say I can't stand TV. I watch it occasionally for the Discovery Channel but I've noticed a current character on a gag show that people seem to think is so funny. He wears make-up and this particular white shirt with a red heart on it but I'm not too sure if he's trying to pose as a gay man or a woman/transvestite. Regardless, he's more annoying than funny. Oh but wait, "there are no gays in Korea"... ya, ok. I'll believe that just like "kimchi prevents SARS" or cancer.... or whatever it was they claimed kimchi saves us from.... hahaha.
6. While picking out some articles for my reading students to read, I came across some article titles in a recent book I bought that caught my eye:
"Before you Kill Yourself"Not too sure on what to say about the first article but as for "Things I did to be cool", I remember in public school a couple of my friends and I use to hang out near the creek that bordered the school property. We never had the balls to really do anything too rebellious but we once smoked rolled up paper to try to convince the new kid, which was the newly appointed rebel of the school, that we were cool. I singed my eyebrows a bit and so ya, I looked real cool and stopped trying to look any cooler from that point on... hahaha.
"Things I did to be cool"
"The Perfect Woman and How to Make Her"
7. And as for "The Perfect Woman and How to Make Her", I skipped reading this article but will wait for "The Perfect Man and How to Make Him" version cause, I like I always use to say, with the coin I'm making and the way that science is going, I'll save my money for when I can make my own petri dish man... hahaha.
8. Somehow sharing these strange article titles stirred up an even stranger conversation with one of my coworkers. "How would you like to go?" he asked me. "Just like an old dog" I replied "...just inject me with the sleeping juice when it's my time."
9. Training was brutally hard tonight as I spent most of it focusing on my body shots. Junior Mint strapped on this funky-looking body padding and made me go five rounds of non-stop body shots. It was really productive but it left me a bit light headed and super sweaty... sweet.
10. Hey... a HUGE congrats to my buddy in Canada, the one in only Troy Ross for winning season four of the Contender Championship!!! I finally got word today about his fight from one of my close friends, Mark Simmons (another wickedly talented Olympian boxer) and I was so proud to watch his fight video and his post game interview. My former coach Egerton, Troy's cousin, was at the fight and so it was also great to see him in the videos. Troy's talent is notably impressive but his sportsmanship has always been so incredibly admired. After his game he gave shout-outs to his opponent and thanked the host. Awesome guy, I only wish I could have been there!!!
