1. Students are still busy rearranging and sorting out their class schedules but my schedule is set, so now it's just a matter of meeting and greeting those who fill up the seats in my classroom.
2. Only had two classes today and so work was nice and sweet... and short.
3. Finally got around to doing my annual back-to-school shopping. Picked up a couple of highly recommended secondary texts for my classes, file folders, and all a bunch of other office supplies.
4. Hit up "Imagination and Beyond", one of my favorite clothing shops here, and slapped down the plastic to pick up the tab. Picked up a couple of posh dresses, a skirt, belt, a few blouses, a jacket, and one pair of tux/suit pants. I haven't drop this much money on clothes in such a long time, can't say it didn't feel good though... hahaha.
5. And as if my day wasn't expensive enough, came home and discovered that Mi Nam had eaten the heel off one off my ankle boots.... great ;(
6. Embarrassed myself somewhat at training tonight after I teased Junior Mint about his selection of music he was pumping into the club. Turns out he had popped in my CD that I had left there back in the day and so the joke was on me... hahaha.
7. Music selection for training consisted of Ace is Base, Vanilla Ice, Michael Jackson, and Blondie... quite the collection... hahaha.
8. Word has it I might be scheduled a fight sometime in April on Jeju Island (one of the islands here in South Korea).
9. In other news, Mi Nam's flatulence problem has appeared to have corrected it's self, or at least temporarily... hahaha.
10. New Korean word randomly picked up today: seul-ssa. And for those who know what it means, well, you can imagine the shocked faces I was faced with when I said "salsa mok-ko-yo". I said "I eat salsa" but had because I no idea that "salsa" sounds almost exactly the same as the Korean word for "diarrhea", I ended up saying something totally different... hahahaha!!!
QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Do you like salsa?
QUOTE OF THE DAY...
You are what you eat.

As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).
After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.
Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.
