As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

BMX Girl is Back!!!... Vacation Recap Continued

Unlike the expected overly-touristy trip many people thought Snickers and I would be having in Canada, we had a lot of down time. I tried to plane a trip that had the people, places, and things that I thought not only would he like but that are important to me. Lake Ontario has always been a hot spot for me. Whether it's the lake side part in Toronto, my hometown, or in other cities, I'm drawn to it like a fish. Having said that, one day I thought I'd take him on a bike trip to the lake side in Oshawa.

My dad got the bikes down from storage, we cleaned and washed them, and then off we headed to Lakeside View park in Oshawa. Snickers rode my mountain bike which had all the fancy gears on it and such.

I opted for my BMX bike. Everyone who knows me in Toronto knows that it was my trademark while I lived there. I was the notoriously known "BMX Girl" of Bloor West Village. Funny story is that one day some kid tried to steal my BMX bike while I was weight training. He didn't go to far though cause some local kids who knew of me and my BMX spotted him on my bike and ended up snatching it away from him. Ahhh... my beloved BMX bike. I use to ride that bike every where. I once even rode it along the lake shore boardwalk path from Toronto all the way to Whitby.

Enough reminiscing...

It was great to jump back on my BMX like old times but dang my butt hurt and boy did my legs get a great grueling workout with it not have any kind of gears whatsoever!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What favorite of the past do you wish you could bring back?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
There is no old age. There is, as there always was, just you.
