As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Please Kidnap Me... Monday, September 13

Today marked the first day back to school for me – teaching at a school that is. It’s only a three month temporary job and although Snickers advised me to “give only 70%”, already this job is stressing me out as I struggle to give it my all but meet opposition.

No one knows what's going on here.

I work five days a week, 9am to 6pm. I also do my tutoring in the morning at 6:20am to 7:20am, personal training and boxing, but now I have no idea when I'll get to fit in my running. No worries though. If this is what I really want to do than I can do it. Ok, so the hours are pretty rough for me. I’ve had eight months of only exercising and tutoring to contend with so it's to be expected for the first little bit, but the hours aren’t the biggest problem. I won’t get into it but will say this, though this job is at a university it is definitely oozing of hagwon mentality and manners. I don’t even have a desk in the office.

But anyways…

Snickers stopped by at lunch to surprise me with a picnic lunch he had made and that totally was a much needed breath of fresh air. We sipped on our coffee and green tea and I had hoped the minutes wouldn’t slip by but they did. Snickers left after lunch, leaving me to deal with the frustrations of my new temp job.

By the time quitting time came around I was beyond ready to go.

Came home, placed my head on the pillow and at 7pm I was out like a light. Didn’t wake up until 7:30am the next day.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
How in the world did I land such a kick-a$$ husband?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Pleasure in the job puts perfection in the work.

LOVELY! Snickers rocks!

Hang in there, once you make a routine I'm sure you'll be able to schedule in your running. If there's a will there's a way!

Hey Jennifer,
Ya, he does... that's why I married him, hahaha. So much for me hanging in there. It was either hang in there and feel like I've got my head in a noose or cut myself free... I did the latter.
