As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Sensory Overload... Thursday, September 16

Groovy cool… our car scored free window tinting so it came home all gangster looking today.

Sexy sweet… Snickers said he wanted to get window tinting for the car so that he’s the only one that gets to look at me.

Impatiently eager… still waiting for my scooter to get its new wheel from Japan.

Beyond exhausted… remembered why I prefer training at night when I showed up at 4pm to box in the heat and nearly drowned myself in my own sweat… yikes!

Eye-brow-raising interesting… I have a tutoring interview tomorrow and it’s at a church.

Very promising… got scheduled an interview for another tutoring position.

Happily hopeful… with a total of 3 extra tutoring positions to add to my one current tutoring gig , looks like I’ll be doubling my Dankook salary!!!

Definitely driven… am proud to note that I finished my fitness text and today it hit the printers.

Seriously focused… met with my client (Newbie) today so that I could fill his brain to the brim with facts about weight training and cardio and then to test out the weight training routine I’ve created for him.

Strangely amused… definitely got looks at Newbie’s gym; people literally stopped to watch us train.

Pleasantly surprised… updated my bank book and noticed an extra deposit of cash. It was my first personal training paycheck from Newbie.

Incredibly rejuvenated… I can’t even begin to tell you how awesome it feels to be back at home and not being tied down to a 9 to 6er contract – it’s just incredible.

Wonderfully optimistic… am happy to be back in the grove of training and with hopes of kicking myself out of my training plateau, I’m going to replace my weekly runs with HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). Day one is tomorrow… 4am.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
What have you discovered lately?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
