As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Who says boxing is just about punching people in the head?! It's a lot of fun too.

All work and no play makes for a very boring day.

Hey Amy,
I love the boxing pictures of you with the gloves. They always give me inspiration. Your arms look great too I might add. Good and toned. I'd like to get shoes like the ones you have. :)
Once again I was sorry to hear about your friend. Life goes on but it always makes you wonder about such things. I know he considered you a good friend. I’m sure of it.
I’m going to try and hook up with you sometime online. I’d love to communicate more. Yeah, the losing is not that bad. It wasn’t against Shauna but another girl. No big deal. I take every sparring session as a learning experience. I’m glad you still have the passion. That is so great! Hey, you do back me up all the time and I’m one of your biggest fans Amy believe me. Boxing has grown a lot for women since even since I started writing to you a while back which is great.
One again keep up the training as I know you will. You’re the best girl. :)

Hi Beth,
Ya, I love these boxing boots -- thanks to Adidas for sending me a couple of pairs!!!
Thanks for what you wrote about my friend. Feels a bit strange at the boxing club without him.
Good to hear you're taking everything as a learning experience -- waste nothing. It's hard to keep the passion alive sometimes because I'm itching for a fight but it's Snickers who's getting all the offers lately. It's frustrating but yet flattering to hear Junior Mint always getting phone calls asking for Snickers to accept a fight but I can't help but envy him for it and wish I had that same situation.
