As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My best friend, my husband, and the man who I consider a hero in my books.

Whenever I'm having a hard day, like oday, I think back to Snickers' story. He's got an amazing story. It's a story about an under dog whom no one thought anything would ever become of him. Many of you know his story and know of the fact that he started boxing while serving time in jail. He found strength when he reached his lowest point, a point in which he had no one but himself to lean on.

No one had any kind of expectations of him and so many were so quick to write him off as just another hopeless bad boy. But Snickers had his own expectations for himself and he had his own hopes.

And with a lot of self determination, self motivation, and a lot of blood, sweat and tears, he put all his doubters to shame.
Tonight I laid on my floor pondering his story and that's when it hit me. If Snickers could find the strength to do all this when it felt like everyone had turned on him and all had lost all hope in him than me in my situation, which seems like nothing compared to his, should be okay for me to take on... and take down.

As almost all korean guys, he's so different with short hair!More cute.
Anyway,I believe both of you see each others as his/her own hero! Don't ask me why, I just feel it could be so.
Big big big hug babe, *mwa* >.<

Hi Fabi,
Hahahaha... yes, very true. He cleans up pretty good ;)
When Snickers proposed to me, I remember him telling me "You are the hero in my life", a sentence he had asked me to randomly translate many weeks prior to his proposal. So yes, I think we are each other's hero.
And thanks for that big, big, big hug!!! ... and was that a kiss on the cheek too?! Thanks *^^*
