As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Thanks to Shifty for lending me some boxing magazines to read... I was stoked to see ENGLISH magazines, it's been too long, but I was overly stoked to see that his English magazines were about boxing. I particularly like the article on Mayweather and what he had to say about mental strength and nerves.

Hey Amy,
I totally know what you mean about your family and in-laws not supporting your boxing. Most people look at it as a sport a woman should not take part in. Just stay focused and you will do fine. I don't know why people get upset or don't understand that if a person likes to participate in that sport they should. I like the thing you said about the F words and the R words. That is definitely the right attitude.

Yo Beth,
Training and preparing myself both mentally and physically for this upcoming fight has been the hardest fight for me yet, more so because of those going against me, those who are mentally and emotionally draining me. But thank you for your continual support Beth, I really, really appreciate it -- appreciate YOU!
