As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Preparing for the Month Ahead... Sunday, December 30

In anticipation of heading out of town for the next month, I searched for a CrossFit application and came across this application -- Sworkit. It's very simple app that's very user-friendly.  But despite it's simplicity, it royally kicked my butt tonight as I tested it out.

I thought I'd go all hardcore, so I choose to do an upper body strength training for 30 minutes and then I did a 10 minute core strength training routine. All I can say is yikes, thank goodness it had random 30 second breaks sparatically included because it was intense. And in between all the random upper body exercises, I must have done like 200 push-ups -- wide-arm push-ups, wall push-ups, diamond push-ups. Woozers!!!

I found a similar Nike application, it was quite impressive, but do I look like I support Nike?! In the words of Snickers, "Hell NO!"… exactly. I'll use this Sworkit app until Adidas makes one.
