As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

To prove my point about what I commented on the other day, about Junior Mint not knowing close, here's a picture of my friend's boxing club.  Note how his front door looks out to his competitor's door... ya, THIS is close.
And despite us being the so-called competition, all the boxing coaches we've met with have been all so friendly, super helpful, and very incredibly supportive of our business venture.
Turtle's boxing club is considered the "posh club" of boxing clubs here in Cheonan.  It's too pretty for us though.  We're going for a little more old school, cartoon meets ghetto feeling.  Hard to explain, just stay tuned and you'll see what we mean.
Other support is quickly stepping up too.  10 Magazine, an English magazine for expats, now delivers us 100 back issues for us to hand out to our members.  I wrote to them today, to thank them, and they wrote back saying that they'd love to do a feature on our boxing club in an upcoming special fitness issue.... awesome!!!
