As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Upping up the Anty... Tuesday, January 8

While talks of their coffee for my protein shake mix or use of my blender were what was at stake, my caffeine fix has been fixed and now they've got no real leverage -- thanks to Snickers.  He had called me up to tell me that he was staying at the hospital, to take care of Wonder Boy's mom, and then instead of going straight home, he was heading out of his way to come see me.

Low and behold he came, and he came baring gifts... some "naughty gifts", as in coffee and meat.

My dorm room has turned into Contraband central, with a wide variety of things being stashed away in it.  I've got the window sill acting as my fridge, a blender set up, and two shelves now stocked with an array of things.

I'm self-sufficiant now, they can't pull me in with my need for coffee now.  I've got that too now.

It wasn't until after my run though that I clued into something I'm missing -- conditioner and laundry soap.  I'm running low on conditioner and I used my shampoo for a laundry soap substitute.

Tomorrow I'll be hosting a mini "Protein-Blend Party" in my dorm, 8am.  Two of my co-workers will be coming here for protein shakes.  I told them to bring the fruit... hmmm.... maybe that's their leverage, the fruit.  I only have bananas.  I'll suck it up though, I'll opt out of the fruit and stick to my spinach shake.  Perhaps I'll make a deal with them, I'll make them a shake if they agree to go late night mountain hiking with me next week.  The plan is to bring my headlamps back here this weekend and get a good crew to go hiking next week.
