As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Three months ago these two little sisters were playing outside when a truck hit the littlest one -- the pigtail sporting cutie.  She was rushed to the hospital but it was almost expected that she' wouldn't make it.  We're all amazed that she's with us and though she doesn't really remember what exactly happened and part of her head is still very much bruised, she remembers the truck. Just randomly, when I was helping her get ready for outside, she told me that "the truck broke her gloves" and then started to cry.
This is Granny Kim, she's definitely thinks outside of the box with regards to stereotypical Korean thinking and has always supported both Snickers and I with our boxing.  Tonight she gave me a gift -- an envelop of tickets from one of Snickers' fight that her husband, Snickers' grandfather, had kept.  Snickers may have been his grandfather's most favourite grandchild but I think I'm Granny Kim's!
