As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

This was me seven years ago today, after almost finishing my first year in Korea.  I was teaching ESL at the time and my homeroom class consisted of waist-high mini Koreans who were about 4yrs old.  I loved them but as time changed, I changed and so did my dreams.
Now these guys represent what I dream of because though they sit here before me as my friends, come spring, they're going to be calling me Coach Amy as I kick their cute butts into shape.
I joked with Snickers, telling him that perhaps I should have gotten married after we started our own boxing club -- I could have had them battle out for me in the ring.  Nah, what am I talking about?!  I know I picked the perfect guy.  Snickers isn't a perfect man but he's definitely perfect for me!!!  Just look at him, showing off all his pearlies.  He's got the biggest smile of all them.
