As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Generosity in the Club

Attack of the mini Koreans... bwahahaha.
Today was definitely a day of gift-recieving for Hulk's, oddly enough.  Not too sure how that worked out but today we received so many unexpected gifts -- gifts that definitely hit the spot with what Snickers and I love.
The first was a massive box of grapes.  Fruit is very expensive here in Korea so such a big box was incredibly generous.  We shared it with all our Hulkies.
Ice cream isn't exactly at par with what kind of foods we promote here at Hulk's but hey, both Snickers and I are ice cream junkies.  It's more so him than I actually.  Ice cream used to be my kryptonite but I've since got control over it.  I no longer train to feed my ice cream addiction.
We also received this tonight -- four plates of oh-so-delish-they-should-be-illegal ribs!!!!
Just the other week we headed over to this new restaurant.  We had arrived well after 1am and were told we'd have a one hour wait if we wanted a table.  Well, tonight two particularly special Hulkies took it upon themselves to wait it out and then surprise us with an overdose of takeout ribs.
Hello late night rib fest party!!! Our Hulkies absolutely loved them and left the club licking their fingers, hoping for more... as did I, definitely!!!
