As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Sometimes You just Have to Make a Joke Out of it All

I have to do this, breathe in and breathe out, about once or twice a week whenever I get told this by people who clearly have NO IDEA why I train so much.  I don't train so much, I'm a professional athlete who owns and operates a boxing club.  That enough is reason right there, thanks.
I loooooooooooooooooooooove this, but of course this doesn't mean I say it out loud.
It's oh so tempting though!!!
...and that my friend is why I'm the coach here and why I get paid to do what I do.
Having said this though, your max may not be my warm up but you best believe I definitely ALWAYS make sure I use heavier weights than any female training with me and quite often heavier or as heavy as the men.
Got to represent my role and set the standard.
