As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Training Hard from the Start of the Day till the Very End

It was a rough start to my day, getting up only after 4 hours of sleep and then training, but sometimes we all need a little extra push and a little extra pressure to get results.
My sponsor told me to do three laps around the lake and my coach told me to keep my pacing it under 5mins/km.  Mission completed.
With Snickers away, today I had Kato helping me with padwork and Won helped do random jobs for me.
As for Pyen Chi, she made a couple of appearances and distracted members as I juggled a million and one tasks that come with running a boxing club.
One of my Hulkies was super sweet in going out of her way to pick up dinner for all us.
She then helped me hunt down Pacquiao in the streets (yes, he escaped again) -- what a good friend!
Today's crossfit class focused on core so I thought it'd be a great chance to incorporate the use of the exercise balls into our training -- members loved it.
It was a hard class but it was so good.
Love, love, LOVE pikes!!!
Even some of the big boys who train late were all about my core/exercise ball exercises.
Here's one to try: do a pike and then a push-up.  Repeat for 3 sets of 10.
