As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Starting the New Week off Strong and Proud

My headbutting injury is now a day old, the swelling has gone down but it's still just as red.
"Suck it up princess" is the last line of this shirt I decided to sport today.  And though I've never considered myself a princess (because I'm more of a queen... hahaha) I thought this shirt was appropriate for me to wear today.  No sympathy words for me please, I wear my battle wounds with pride.
Chestnut gallore!!!
I think at least once or twice a week we either buy or recieve a massive amount of some kind of food and today it was roasted yummy chestnuts.  Chestnuts for everyone!
Today we worked our upper bodies in crossfit class.
Notice the guy girl ration... very cool.
I'm always impressed with just how many females we have training at Hulk's.  I think 60-70% of our membership are females and I can't help but giggle and be proud at how the other Cheonan boxing clubs have taken notice of this fact and ask us how this is even possible.
