As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday August 2

1. Woke up totally sleep-deprived (4hrs sleep..if that) and had to deal with seven little 3yr olds. Surprisingly enough, I had tons of energy and was totally silly....I think it's cause I was delusional!
2. According to the teachers' text, I'm suppose to cook cookies with my Wisdom class tomorrow. Now, how can I cook with seven 3yr olds in a country where children aren't allowed in the kitchen and probably only 2% of mothers here will ever make cookies (those 2% being foreign women)?!
3. Solved my dilemma by deciding to scrap the cooking idea and instead make ice cream sundaes....it's still on the topic of favorite desserts.
4. Saw first hand how incredibly spoiled a child could act (Jack) and promised myself to never let my child EVER get to that level.
5. Had a clogged up nose the whole day and got teased for my "rusty" voice.
6. Refused to admit I was sick....I'm not sick, it's just charma getting me back for keeping those stranger's pants that were added to my laundry. I think I'm reacting to the nasty perfume it apparently was bathed in prior to joining my clothes. I still remain the ONLY staff member to NOT have got sick yet!!!
7. After several attempts at getting Wisdom to stand still for a class picture, finally got one. However, Hanna is away and so it's not an official class photo.
8. Funniest comment today,...Jenny from my Dream kindergarten class said I had arms like her dad. I think she meant to imply that I was strong but just between you and me, it doesn't mean much cause he is a slim man.
9. Thought it'd be funny to sneak some of my students' food when she wasn't looking. It was all good until I realized that I just scooped up a mouthfull of 1 inche fish....gag reflex kicked in and I had to spit it in my hand! They all thought that was part of the joke however.
10. My gym is still on summer break and it's raining again, so I had yet another forced night off training!
