As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

My Dream kindergarten class....this picture was taken way back in March. I had open class with these students today. Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Wednesday August 31

1. Am convinced that my neighbor's must think I'm having a domestic dispute with another person in my apartment cause of all the yelling.... boy will they be surprised to see I'm yelling at Daewoo. He gives me so much grief!
2. Had open house with Dream class and so I had an extra 14 bodies (parents) sit-in on the class. They were suppose to stay for 30mins but they ended up staying for the full 80mins. Talk about pressure. Either they stuck around cause they wanted to see me crack or they're thinking about enrolling themselves!
3. Jimmy's mom told me that Jimmy loves me so much. So sweet but one question...why does he cry in only my class, everyday?! Surprisingly enough he didn't cry today but I think it's cause his mom was watching him like a hawk.
4. On a serious note, got word from Canada that my Auntie Connie got into a terrible car collision. Two people died and now she is on life support with serious bleeding on her brain. This is crazy! What's done is done and as sad as it is, maybe there's good that will come from this...like the Berezowski family becoming a joined family again.
5. Had speech contest in my afternoon elementary classes and talk about disappointment. Remind me again why we have them?...is it to frustrate the teachers or flaunt what students can actually do it?
6. Ms. "I choose to be difficult just because" gave me grief five minutes into arriving at school. Today's issues consisted of Hanna (Wisdom) returning a day early and then completing the speech contest.
7. Had a good laugh when I heard Wisdom Hanna returned today (open house day = stress day) after a month vacation and then saw certain SLP staff freak out. They thought she might make the open house class difficult so they told her to go home but she's allowed to return tomorrow. Apparently no one else shared in my humour!
8. Wore all white to school (and yes, another skirt) and despite the kinder kids putting all their dirty paws on me, I was able to keep it white. Ironically it wasn't until I was coming home and checking my mailbox that I got dirty. Ahh,..one more minute and I would have been home.
9. Young Un got me to do this weighted ab workout and all was good until he almost killed me by pushing me down. The added resistance was too much for me and I was already exhausted.... laid there with all the blood rushing to my head and totally not able to get up. He had a good laugh knowing this too!
10. Took Daewoo for a walk, stepped into the store and left him outside but when I came out he was gone. I made my way home cause I had a hunch that he headed in that direction and sure enough there he was, outside my apartment door. So, I suppose this means that even if I sell him on EBay he'll end up here again and so it's pointless....I'm stuck with him!

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
If you could be anyone else you know, who would you choose to be and why?

QUOTE OF THE DAY...
Enjoy today because yesterday was the past, tomorrow is the future and today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.

Dream class behaviour stoplight...notice how my name is on the red light with Jimmy and Terry!  Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday August 30

1. Woke up extra early to start my running training for the 10km and now I've got the blisters to prove I busted my butt (and proves I need to wear socks too).
2. Wore a skirt today and once again people were confused...."Is it a special day?" they asked. Ya it's not a special day. Today I woke up and discovered I'm a chic so I decided dressed like the other women at work...NO!
3. Continued the ongoing joke with Dream class that I'm Korean. Asked them what kind of hair Koreans have and they answered, "straight black, black hair". I mentioned that my hair was blonde when I first came but asked them that it changed, why?! My answer was that I had turned Korean cause now I live in Korea and this totally confused them.
4. Surprise, surprise...Jimmy cried again in class. Minseo put his name on the red stoplight face for speaking too much Korean. I knew he was going to get upset so I started rambling in Korean thinking that he'd laugh. However, all it did was get my name on the red stoplight face with Jimmy's and this added attention to the sign made him instantly cry!
5. Still have no Korean name. I asked Dream class to give me a Korean name and when I translated the name Jimmy insisted on repeatedly calling me, it translated into "pretty". For a little guy who I feel only cries in my class, he sure does show me lots of affection!
6. Didn't really talk to "Ms. I'm proving a point but no one knows what that is" and so it's making work really awkward. I went from having one partner to three... me, myself and I.
7. Got my hopes raised high only to have them crash and burn. Dave passed me a mailed package and then he realized it was for someone else. What a bad tease
8. Seriously considering Daewoo either on EBay or in the streets of Cheonan to the next hungry Korean. He's cruzin' for a bruising and I'm not about to give him the beating he deserves. Any volunteers?!
9. Try to train tonight but had troubles with simply walking. Did abs and called it an early night.
10. Was informed by Young Un that my fan club members have officially relocated to Seoul. Now my fan club is down to two at the gym. Despite the jokes I made about Dance Man and Big Head, they added humour to my training and I'll miss them...maybe not Big Head.

Some loved ones of mine Posted by Picasa

Friends I've left in Canada... I do miss you! Posted by Picasa

Highlights of my Day...Monday August 29

1. Brought a well-earned special treat (ice cream drumsticks) for my Wisdom class and ending up eating 2 1/2 cause some students couldn't finish them....didn't want to waste any valuable ice cream, heaven forbid!
2. In Toronto we've got kids having kids. In Korea we've got kids teaching kids (or at least their maturity level points to this level) .... what's worse?!
3. After a rude run-in with a co-worker I've decided that I'll no longer be providing back-up. It's one thing to make a public spectacle, but it's another thing to bite off the MAIN hand that has ALWAYS helped hold you up.
4. Now I know this time it totally wasn't my fault...Came into Dream class after the staff meeting and Jimmy started crying cause Minseo put his name under the red stop sign face (means he was either being bad during lunch or speaking too much Korean). It's like he was waiting and my entrance was the cue! So I've officially have accepted Jimmy's crying as apart of my daily routine, like eating kimchi and rice everyday so too do I expect now to get my daily dose of Jimmy's tears!
5. How lazy can we get.... at the press of one button we have instant hot water, at the rip of one package we've got cream, coffee and sugar all in one and yet we're still not happy. Now we're insisting on a coffee machine,...umm, isn't that going backwards?!
6. After work I did some cleaning and found any and all things I thought I had lost, under the couch. Daewoo is a notorious kleptomaniac and has been stashing countless things under my couch. His collection that I busted him for consisted of...
2 pairs of sandals
1 hat
1 piece of tuperware
1 bra
1 belt
1 alarm clock
1 empty yogurt container
1 chopstick
1 stuffed monkey
5 dog bones
3 socks
1 shirt
and 1 dead worm!
7. Thought I'd try cooking an actual meal. It didn't taste too good but I had used up so much of my groceries and so I didn't want to waste it. Here's what was in my special dish:
thin Chinese noodles
tomatoes
tomato sauce
carrots
sausages
ketup
carrots
milk
corn
and a can of tuna
8. A woman I talk to once in awhile approached me and told me she saw my "boyfriend" earlier. She wanted to know why we didn't train together today, I wanted to know who my boyfriend supposedly was.....found out who, Minsoo. Cause we're gym buddies and sometimes he wears the same hat as me, she mistook this as a "couple hat". "Couple" clothes are popular in Korea!
9. Got forewarned my Young Un that I should prepare myself for our night out with the guys...what does that mean?!
10. Registered Paulo and me for the 10km Terry Fox run on September 10th in Seoul.

Chow time with Je MinPosted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Sunday August 28

1. Woke up and realized that Daewoo had been chewing the side trimming on my walls. I thought dogs were suppose to get smarter as they got older but he's becoming more of a trouble maker.
2. Still shocked over the argument I had with Dumber. I can't believe a person would be so rude as to personally attack a total stranger. I think he got kicks out of it, I don't know.
3. Got treated to a day of fine dining (Yawoore cafeteria food and ice cream), good conversation (well what Korean I could understand) and good entertainment (Je Min trying to speak English and then we watched a movie). Had a really fun day.
4. Was told by Je Min that I am not allowed to go back to Canada. I thought it was funny but he wasn't trying to be funny.
5. Came home, had a nap and then woke up to Daewoo and his little "mouse" noises. I've got to figure out how to stop them!
6. Had a dream that I got into a fight but didn't know how to move my arms. Woke up soaked in sweat.
7. Went grocery shopping at LotteMart and mingled with the new deli boys....scored some free sauces and some added winks on the side.
8. Went on a late night walk and thought I saw Dumber. Stood there waiting for him to turn around but it wasn't him thankfully. Thankfully for him that is!
9. So much for having to give Daewoo his weekly bath. He was so bad when I returned home and so I totally soaked him with the water gun for disciplinary purposes.
10. Gave Daewoo his weekly bath anyways just so that calm down and let me sleep!

My homegirl Jen....literally! She's from Oshawa, Ontario! Posted by Picasa

Louis and Daewoo hanging out at WA Bar Posted by Picasa

Highlights of My Day...Saturday August 27

1. Was the talk of the gym at training today cause of my victory over Young Un with our push-up competition.
2. Got called a "beautiful strong woman" by none other than Cheonan's Mr. Gold bodybuilder who overheard Mrs. Park telling Minsoo about my victory. His compliment meant more to me than the actual win cause I felt so respected and honoured.
3. Had super with SLP foreign teachers and it was interesting to note the different perspectives at the table and how the dynamics of the group have changed since I got here.
4. Met up with school co-workers at the WA bar and thought it interesting to note how at LotteMart my dog has to be put into a locker but at the restaurant he's allowed to walk on the table. Only in Korea!
5. Went to Broke's going away party and noticed Louise brought her dog. Stayed too long and noticed Louise LOST her dog! I helped her search the streets but I knew we wouldn't find it. We're in a country where they love small dogs like her lost poodle, either as a pet to treat as a doll or their next meal.
6. Met this funny Korean girl named Katrina. We had this "interesting" conversation about men and beauty. My words of advice....don't date a foreign guy! I told her that if I wasn't engaged to Paulo, I'd never date a white guy again. I'd go Korean!
7. Just when I thought I met dumb, low and behold I meet dumber! Dumb and Dumber are surprisingly both Irish and their good friends too...they're perfect for each other. Should note here too that the other guy I had a run-in with on Friday night (bandana boy) was ALSO Irish!
8. Dumber and I had a huge argument about marriage and he proclaimed that in every marriage there's always someone that strays. I ended the argument with telling him that I feel sorry for him and he parted with trying to shake my hand and wishing me good luck. He told me I'll remember him in 10yrs when what he said comes true. My response, "don't flatter yourself. In 10 days I won't even remember you. You'll be another ignorant and sad person I had the unfortunate of meeting. And please don't wish me good luck, I have good luck...his name is Paulo!"
9. Had half the club wanting to punch the lights out of this guy but I told them, "trust me, if I wanted him to be beat up I'd do it myself but he's built up his own bad charma so he'll get what's due to him!"
10. Realized after 6 months that I still haven't learned to properly tell the taxi driver where I live...taxi ride home was interesting but frustrating.

QUESTION OF THE DAY...
Is it better to stoop to someone's low level to tell them how you HONESTLY feel about them or keep quiet and let them think they've got the last laugh?

Highlights of My Day...Friday August 26

1. Got word from my mom that she contacted the postal office and inquired about the tracking on my package. They had no answer so I'm assuming someone in Thailand is thanking her right now.
2. Just when I thought I had narrowed my wedding dress selection down to three, I got introduced to two more really beautiful dresses....ah the stress.
3. Went a whole day with Jimmy NOT crying...it's a first!
4. I always thought people become their names in a way but what was I thinking when I named one of my Virgo boys Henry. I'm sure my father was a beautiful student loved by all his teachers but this ultra skinny boy is a wild child who in the middle of class decides he's going to start barking!
5. Had supper at the Kimbob and realized that I was the ONLY one drinking the soup as oppose to using a spoon....kindergartens are rubbing off on me.
6. Young Un and Woo canceled their plans with Tasha and me because Woo was sick so at training Young Un and I had a push-up competition to see if he'll still come out.... I won but decided that we'd all go out next Friday and so he'd have to bring Woo AND MOOK!!!
7. Thought I caught glimpse of this mystery Travis guy and so I bolted around the corner to the building's back entrance but missed him. Went out a bit later with Tasha to track him down but we had no luck.
8. Went to the big party at MBar and hung out with Je Min, Chong Hong, a room full of hyper Koreans and some foreigners.....and the Irish Idiot was there. Stayed out way too late (5:30am) but like Friday, it was a great pracitce session for my Korean.
9. Had a Korean dude follow me around the whole night cause he insisted that he was in love with me.
10. Once again saw the sad stereotype that many of our foreign men here foster... they're all geeks. One foreigner was totally getting on my nerves with his cheesy lines and so I flat out told him, "I don't like white men. I'm in Korea sweety and it's not for the kimchi". Should have just told him I was engaged, I know, but with no fiance by my side he would have taken it for a lie.

Highlights of My Day...Thursday August 25

1. Woke up with a tooth ache again and my biggest fear is that I'll have to go to some Korean dentist who'll end up sending me home with my teeth in my pocket. It's bad enough I have a phobia of dentists, I don't need to complicate it more. But can I survive another 6 months till I go to Canada?!
2. Woke up to a nasty smell near my face. Thought something had died on my pillow and then I realized it was Daewoo's mouth! He's too small to have such a big smell.
3. Ah Jimmy,..he returned to school today and once again supposedly I made him cry. I threw a ball to him but he chose to catch it with his head.
4. Being to think this whole "rainy season" is a big lie...it rained today again and it's been rainy way past "rainy season". My umbrella has become a permanent addition to my daily wardrobe like wearing shoes.
5. Wrote 30 report cards today for my afternoon classes and so I'm finally done for all my classes....until October that is.
6. Took all the kindergartens to this great indoor playhouse and I almost think I had more fun than them but I killed my knees. I love this place. It had a ball pen, mini movie theatre, slides, wall climbing, toy cars, singing machines, dancing, robe glider, arcade games and even boxing heavy bags!!!
7. Ran into Big Head at training but strangely enough Dance Man wasn't with him... maybe he's afraid of me or wants out of my fan club?!
8. Ongoing joke at the gym is that Young Un (male) is 4 months pregnant because he's developed a little tummy lately. Minsoo jumped in on the joke and said that it was his baby.... weird Korean humour!
9. After checking out Minsoo's notorious dance move, serious thinking Dance Man should be called Dance Man Wanna-Be... Minsoo definitely scores more points for the moves.
10. Got approached by four strangers at the gym who recognized my picture in the SLP newsletter that got distributed within the community.

Highlights of My Day...Wednesday August 24

1. Started my day off on a bad note...not only did I sleep in, I fell in the shower, closed the door on Daewoo, and then had to deal with the stubbornness of co-workers right at the crack of my work day.
2. Despite the bad morning, woke up to a nice dry and CLEAN bed.... all because I flipped the mattress!
3. Realized how bored I get after work when the most interesting thing I can do (besides training) is making dog toys out of recycled household items and peanut butter. One of the toys was so good even I resorted to chewing on it.
4. Worked my butt off to help out Louis so that he'd plan tomorrow's kinder field trip and then got word that NO planning is involved. We just have to show up....ahh!
5. Rick in my afternoon Virgo class started to play wrestle with me in class and so I told him about the good old Canadian "jersey" (hockey move). Left the class only then to find out that his mother watched me jersey her son in the class camera.
6. Thankfully I've stopped my streak of bad luck with Jimmy today. He's cried in my class for the past two days now. However, the streak was broken on the grounds that he was absent from school.
7. While walking home I saw a group of men crowding around a parked car. Curious me went to check it out and low and behold they were all checking out a Wolkswagan beetle. And here I thought it'd be a porshe or some luxurious car....first beetle I've seen in Korea though.
8. Stood in amazement as I watched a traffic jam at the local street corner (1 1/2 lane road) and counted 10 cars involved but no one honking.
9. Got approached at training by a mother and her son. She wanted me to hear her son's sentence and tell me if the grammar was correct. I answered her but now the more I think of my answer and his, the more I think I was wrong.
Here's his sentence : I learned as much as it was difficult.
My sentence : I learned a lot because it was difficult and so I liked the challenge.
10. Cooked a sweet patato as a snack and totally forgot about it until I noticed I couldn't hear the water bubbling anymore.....ended up cooking the pot and so now it's outside on the curb with my other garbage. I'm going to be a terrible wife if this is any hint!

Daewoo and his silly hair dye..trying to bite the rock Posted by Picasa

Tuesday, August 23, 2005

Highlights of My Day...Tuesday August 23

1. Find it odd how Daewoo mainly poops outside but mainly pees inside ... on my bed though at night!
2. Woke up to the first day of autumn and probably the most beautiful day I've ever seen in Korea so far.... this meant a blue clear sky!
3. Was disappointed that this beautiful blue clear sky didn't continue into the night so I still haven't seen a star in Korean.
4. At the end of everyday Wisdom class students ask me for candy and so I put a stop to it today by telling them "No more candy, Amy Teacher ate it all!!!" I thought it was funny but the looks on their face told me that they definitely didn't share in my amusement.
5. Ran into Mr and Mrs Park at the local store and got into a lengthy conversation about dog. They thought my dog was "Dae-Boo" which apparently means "gangster boss"...ironically my guy is the opposite. Conversation ended with me getting invited out to go eat dog! Despite my love for animals however, I've agreed to taste it someday soon.
6. Was totally confused about what to do about Daewoo peeing on that one spot of my bed until Louis told me to simply flip the mattress... I'm an educated woman, how come I never thought of that.

7. Made Jimmy cry again and then stop crying on command. What's up with this little kindergarten?! He tells everyone he loves me and yet I'm the only one that makes him cry, that's so bad!
8. Tried to flip the mattress and almost killed Daewoo in the process. The little dude jumped up on the bedframe as I was flipping it. Thankfully for him, I tried to save him last minute and so my head took the impact of the crashing mattress. Let's see how my head looks tomorrow morning!
9. Spent about 3 hours writing kindergarten report cards only to drop them off the desk and have Daewoo jump on them. Are they familiar with the phrase, "my dog ate my homework" in this country? Thankfully all he did was jump on them.
10. New friend..... Un Tak. Hoping that he'll teach me more Korean. In a country filled with Koreans, it's been so hard to find one that will teach me their language.

Highlights of my Day...Monday August 22

1. Woke up to that little "mouse" again and had to laugh cause Daewoo had no idea where the noise was coming from. He turns, looks at his bum and then looks at me confused. Nice try there little guy! We both know YOU did it!
2. Washed almost everything in my apartment, including my bedding, only to wake up and realize that Daewoo peed in my clean bed.
3. Monday is always "BLACK MONDAY" cause I have to teach Glory kindergarten class for storytelling and well, to put it politely, I can't stand that class! But today I set a new record for number of students kicked out from one class with kicking three out from Glory!

4. Finally got technology working for me and so I was able to access my email. It's all a conspiracy!
5. Went out for coffee again with Young Un and ended up having to give him money once again.... It was all fun except for the fact I don't like their chilled coffee. Going out for coffee here sure isn't like Tim Hortons in Canada! Cold coffee in a can, how is this enjoyable?
6. Louis babysat Daewoo today and so it was nice to come home and have some quiet time for a bit. It was nice to hear that Daewoo whined a bit.... I think he missed me.
7. Nothings worse than trying to avoid someone and then having them reverse the situation and not even show up....Dance Man and Big Head were a no-show at training today but Dance Man said that we'd talk about our weekend "plan" Monday night...tonight!
8. Hung out with the drivers at the local GS 25 store and drew in a crowd of about 15 that wanted to play with Daewoo and talk to me. Daewoo is a people magnet but boy does he love the ladies...he draws the ladies and I draw in the men, what a duo.
9. Got asked if I had a cell phone by one of the drivers and I totally knew where this was going, thankfully some other guy interrupted him and redirected the conversation. Boy was that awkward.
10. Got a email from the manager at the bridal store back in Canada that I'm dealing with....thought it was really strange that now the opposite is being said about my dress...supposedly she said it's be IMPOSSIBLE to walk in it, or what that just someone re-wording what she said to suit their tastes?! Umm, makes me wonder... who really is "she"?!

Highlights of My Day...Sunday August 21

1. Woke up to what I thought was a mouse, only to find out that Daewoo had a bad case of gas.
2. Got two text messages from Je Min and figured out via the computer how to translate them and respond. Translating wasn't so easy though, translated one and got "Well the pine nut you oh ready bedspread." What's this suppose to mean?!
3. Spent too much time on the computer translating various words and updating my Korean dictionary file. I up to about 130 words/phrases!
4. 5 개이 팬클럽애 어항여 도달했다
5. teve um nightmare sobre Canadá...Eu fui para casa e eu não compreendi a língua
6. Went on a cleaning binge and washed the floors, counter tops, dishes, bedding, and then did five loads of laundry.
7. Started training Daewoo various tricks and the only progress we made was now he knows I have treats in the house.
8. Still no sign of this supposedly white hottie in Cheonan....does he even exist?
9. Got totally embarrassedsed at the store when Daewoo broke out into another gas-reliving episode while I was standing in line holding him in my arms.
10. Tried to cook sausages today and they ended up looking like pieces of charcoal...ate them anyways.

Highlights of My Day...Saturday August 20

1. Erased the program I use to post pictures on this site and experiencing other troubles with my computer...I can't stand technology. I'll have to hold off on the pictures for a bit.
2. Realized I excluded somethings from yesterday's posting...here's what I forgot to tell you:
.... met a girl that's from my neighboring hometown. Jennifer, she's from "the Shawa"!
.... Ironically bars and clubs do NOT have set closing times but instant bank machines close at midnight! If you're at a club they'll stay there till YOU decide to leave (hence the fact I was able to stay till 8:30am) HOWEVER...instant bank machines close at midnight...what's the point of that? I thought the whole purpose of bank machines was CONVENIENCE!!!
3. Slept in till 5:30pm. Would have slept longer but Daewoo caught me opening my eyes and so it was impossible to lay there while my face was being chewed on.
4. At training, I saw first-hand what happens when you mix friendship, Korean culture, and testosterone... grown men exchanging evil eyes, fist-banging the walls and me standing there trying to explain what just happened.
5. Five minutes after the two men (they'll remain nameless in this case) gave their dramatic show, all was back to normal and they were back to training together too.
6. While hanging out with Tasha, her dog had some kind of seizure.... he's a strange little creature that sometimes I'd love to make into a football but I couldn't help but feel sad for him.
7. Saw my first black man in Cheonan. He stood beside his car totally checking us foreign girls out (all 5 of us) and we all realized the rarity of this event and had a good laugh. May not see another black man until...I don't know, umm, I return to Canada?!
8. Sitting outside the local store with the girls a man approached us and mistook us for Russian prostitutes. I told him various things but he got really mad when I called him a "bad boy" (all this being said in Korean of course). I stood up cause I thought he was going to try to attack me and totally sized him up. Nothing became of it though cause I got the store worker to make him leave.
9. After the episode with the drunk Korean man, realized that maybe sizing up for a possible fight wasn't the best of things to do considering I'm in a country where almost every man has a black belt in some kind of martial art! Considering his impaired state however, I'm confident to say I would have won.
10. Je Min from last night sent me my first official Korean only text-message. Got the store worker to translate it.....good stuff!

Highlights of My Day...Friday August 19

1. Teaching Wisdom kindergartens "Pat-a-cake" song turned into a violent activity with me repeatedly getting hit in the head with little hands.
2. Wisdom Jack refused to go home...he loves school and so I had to literally pry his hands off my chair. It was like taking the lamb to the slaughter - so painful for all.
3. Daewoo got his first hair cut and first hair dye too. I dyed my hair blackER tonight and by accident some dropped on Daewoo. It turned the tip of his tale a weird kind of blue.
4. Was greeted by my "fan club" members who were literally sitting there and waiting for me at training. Supposedly I've agreed to some social outing that's happening next Friday. I was just trying to be polite and then all of a sudden I've be committed. Young Un watched it all go down and had a good laugh. We then thought up official names for particular "fan members"...."Dance Man"and "Big Head".
5. Went to meet up Naomi and all her foreign friends. There were 7 of us girls (almost ALL of Cheonan's foreign women) dancing and acting silly. Then we went to meet up with some other foreigners at some club.....brings the total to about 20! Never seen so many foreigners in Cheonan!
6. Tried to stir up a conversation with a group of male Koreans and all it turned into was them asking me how was the best looking. Thankfully got rescued by one of the DJs, Je Nim and his co-worker Chung Hong. Ended up hanging with them the rest of the night.
7. Got approached by some of the foreign guys that were with us and totally realized that had I not picked Paulo, I would have definitely gone Korean. Foreign men here are aggressive and don't have as good of manners. Got to love the one dude who told Naomi to tell me that I am pretty....what, are we in grade eight?!
8. Started a little rivery with Je Nim and Chung Hong over who is stronger among the three of us. This turned into a mini arm-wrestling tournament and surprisingly Je Nim won! This particular display of stereotypical manlyhood lead to my new nickname, "handsome Girl". I gave a good fight, "like a man" they said.
9. Agreed to stay in touch with both Je Nim and Chung Hong. We exchanged emails/numbers and I've agreed to attend their huge club party next Friday...ah, what am I going to do?! That's the same night I'm suppose to go out with Dance Man and Big Head....I've double-booked!
10. Finally left the club at 8:30am...just getting to be now. What a night!!!
