As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

With the exception of missions #8 and #12, all missions were completed... yah for us!!!  Mind ya, it took me to wake up at 7am and go to bed around 4am to do so.

The other day, when I was asked by a friend-of-a-friend "What's your job?", I couldn't help but laugh when my friend cut in and said "Oh Amy, she doesn't have a job."  Technically yes, that's right.  I don't have a job.  I have no paycheck coming in to account for all the money going out and I'm not required to clock in hours or account to anyone.  However, this doesn't mean I don't work.  I've got a lot of work and I certainly am clocking in more hours than I ever did for any job I've ever worked.  I joked with Snickers this morning, telling him I wanted a vacation.  "Then go back to your old job" was his response.

Definitely the coolest part of my day, confirming some custom-made machines.  I think I'll go with having it painted red -- fire red; red like my cousin's fire truck!!!  A man out in Young-In who makes his own custom equipment pieces for a living is officially our main go-to-man for the weight training component of our boxing club.  I love his business idea, how it stemmed from doing simple repairs to all-out custom designed, custom made full pieces.  He's making us a massive Smith machine that is like a three-in-one machine and a cable machine that's about three meters long.  We're also going with him for our order of kettle bells and medicine balls -- roughly 21-26 kettle bells and possibly 16 medicine balls.

Hardest part of my day, starting my first draft of an article for 10 Magazine.  It's a 650 word article that will be featured in the magazine's April issue so it's such a wicked chance for publicity.  Originally, the production editor had suggested I get one of my Flipside Fitness ladies to write it for me but with none of them really knowing the full story of Flipside, the upcoming boxing club, or really available to do so.  I decided it best to rely on myself and write it.  Now, of course, the dilemma is what to write.  I thought about taking an earlier article I wrote for the Flipside Fitness The Fab Gals Gab newsletter but one was too long, another didn't really fit the requirements and a third piece didn't really talk about the connection between Flipside and our boxing club.

"Only 650 words... only", I thought to myself.

I never really was one short for words but after an hour of looking at a blank computer screen with nothing but my name written at the top, I decided to go for a run.  With 4Man-C showing up at my house on Saturday and then sleeping over, I had missed my long run for the week so tonight I headed out to get it done.  A good run always gets my creative juices flowing so I figured it'd do me good.

No suck luck.

An hour and twenty minutes later I returned home after a successful 15km run but I was no closer to writing my article than I was before I left.  Oh my creative juices had started flowing and flowed freely, unfortunately they just didn't flow in the direction I was hoping they would.  Returned home with a clear vision of what it'd be like walking into our own boxing club. I was all giddy about it too.  "I'm going to bring back the old 'good job champ' slap to the bum", I told myself.  Oh gosh.
