As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Just One of the Boys... Saturday, March 16

I'm 12 again, apparently, spending my Saturday night bowling then having a sleepover.

If I knew getting married meant not only would I be hanging out with more guys than ever and they'd be pulling all-nighters, dropping by my house at all hours, and sleeping over than heck I would have got married earlier than later!!!

I'm in love with a man and all his friends... all his friends who are now my close friends too.  They're just such great guys -- so hilariously sweet, super cute, and ultra sweet -- and they think nothing about going out for dinner with my husband and text messaging me during it.  4Man-C and I have our inside joke words and he almost had me peeing my pants during bowling when I got stressed about a gutter ball I had thrown and he blurted out an English word I had taught him last week.  Inappropriately funny to many, I'm sure, but so appropriately in line with just how my friends and I are with each other.

Later in the evening a male friend of mine came over, insisting he show me how to do my make-up for tomorrow's Glam Girls Night Out I'm hosting via Flipside Fitness.  I love all those smokey-eyes I see on Pinterest and it looks quite easy to do, but me do it?!  It suddenly becomes brain surgery and I have no idea where to start beyond aiming my make-up brush at my eye.  In addition to not knowing how to glam up my make-up, I clearly don't know how to do a fab style, nor do I know what to wear.  My buddy says I should aim to drop draws -- sport some smokey-eyes, do either loud curly hair or a sexy sleek style, drop jaws with a cleavage dress that's borderline too short, and add some dangerously high stiletto heels just to make it all that more dramatic.

I don't know.

I'm pretty set on wearing a long skirt so I can wear my new Adidas kicks under them... hahaha.

Hi Anonymous,
Sorry, but I don't understand what you mean. I understand the metaphor but to what are you referring to? Perhaps you're referring to my sleepover party?! We aren't actually sleeping in the same bed, or even in the same room. My husband sleeps beside his friend in the other room and me in the bedroom.
