As the story has it, one day I headed to the opposite side of the globe – the Flipside. I arrived in Korea February 16th, 2005 and thought I’d do a year, then leave. I was wrong. I stayed, launched my first company, Flipside Fitness, and then opened Korea's largest boxing club, Hulk's Boxing (now called Hulk's Club).

After 11.5yrs in Korea, I then picked up one day and returned to Toronto, Canada. But then I left again.

Now I live in the Philippines where I am the CEO and head coach of Empowered Clubhouse, the Philippines' first and only boxing clubhouse exclusively just for women. I also am the founder of the Lil' Sistas Project, CEO and designer of Slay Gear and Baa Baa Black Sheep .Ph.

Counting Down... Sunday, April 14

I spent five hours scrapping off some overly sized stickers off the mini pro shop wall. Five hours, yup five hours... 1, 2, 3, 4, 5.  I spent more time standing freezing my butt off, scrapping a massive sticker off a wall than I did sleeping.  If you can imagine how much "fun" scrapping off a single sticker off a wall or cupboard door is, then times that by a zillion-trillion and that's how fun my work was today.  I tried to amuse myself by blasting 8Tracks.com on my cell phone and busting out some strange and deranged dance moves that really aren't moves at all but perhaps a mix between someone convolting from a seizure and a rusty robot.

5 hours scrapping.
4 hours slept the night before.
3 cups of coffee to keep me awake.
2 days I've been waiting now for the weekend to end.
1 mission -- WORK!

I took a power nap today. Sadly enough it was on the toilet, yes it's true.  Our new club toilets arrived -- ya for now no reason for people to poop on the floor -- and after hours of dealing with that annoying sticker stuff, I sat down on a boxed toilet and fell asleep.  I was only asleep for about ten minutes before I started to lean forward and woke myself up.

No sooner did I return home from the boxing club but then I had to head out for ROBO Time with some of the ladies of Flipside Fitness.  It was a short run -- 10km -- but I had promised them that we'd work on our pacing tonight so it was a really good run.  Upon realizing that we weren't doing so well with our pacing, we kicked it up a couple of notches at the last 2km and blazed it.  Recovered but at the expense of really kicking our own butts!
